DHL is the world’s most recognized logistics brand — operating in over 220 countries and territories, moving millions of shipments daily. When they needed a partner to produce and deliver a large batch of custom varsity jackets for their regional employee branding initiative, the brief went to SaltyCustoms. The irony is not lost on us: being asked to manage logistics for one of the world’s greatest logistics companies. We delivered.

The Brief — Quality Materials, Multi-Country Delivery, Expert Advice

DHL required a substantial quantity of custom varsity jackets for employees as part of a regional branding initiative spanning Malaysia and Singapore. The requirements were specific:

• Quality materials: The jackets needed to represent DHL’s brand premium — not generic workwear, but a garment employees would be proud to wear.
• Print method expertise: DHL needed guidance on the right printing and embroidery approach for varsity jackets — which methods would work on the materials specified, and which would deliver the durability expected for a branded employee uniform.
• Multi-country coordination: Delivery needed to be coordinated across Malaysia and Singapore, with each country’s allocation correctly labeled, documented, and cleared through customs.
  

Expert Print Method Consultation

Our team reviewed DHL’s requirements against the material specifications for the varsity jackets and provided a detailed recommendation covering embroidery placement, thread colour accuracy against the DHL brand palette, and surface finishing options. The goal was to ensure the DHL logo and brand elements would look and last exactly as intended — not just in the factory sample, but after repeated wear and washing.

Samples were produced and approved before full-scale production was initiated — giving DHL a physical reference point for quality sign-off before committing to the full order.

Production and Multi-Country Delivery

Once samples were approved, SaltyCustoms coordinated full production through our overseas manufacturing network. Throughout production, our team maintained direct communication with the factory — proactively flagging any challenges and managing timeline expectations in real time.

Delivery coordination covered both Malaysia and Singapore simultaneously. Each jacket was individually labeled according to the destination market, packed correctly for cross-border shipment, and accompanied by the correct customs documentation for smooth clearance in both countries.

The full order was delivered successfully to both countries, on schedule, with zero customs complications.
